Vanilla essential oil is derived from Vanilla planifolia, a native specie of the Orchidaceae family by Steam Distillation. This essential oil has sweet, complex, warm and comforting aroma. The pure vanilla extract comes by the process of CO2 extraction. Today, vanilla oil becomes the main ingredient not only in food and drinks, but also in beauty products and perfumes. Vanilla essential oil can be attributed to its properties as an antioxidant, anti-depressant, anti-inflammatory, sedative and relaxing.
