Clary sage plant is native to the Mediterranean and parts of Europe. It is most commonly cultivated in Hungary, France and Russia. Both the leaves and flowers are used in flavouring and teas as well as aromatherapy applications. Clary sage derives from a stout biennial herb that can grow up to 1 meter tall. It has large leaves and small, blue-white flowers. This oil is extracted through a process of Steam Distillation. Clary sage oil is specially for women benefit from the balancing effects. One of its traditional uses has been ameliorating menstrual and uterine complaints. Used in aromatherapy to promote the nervous system. It has sedative abilities that induce feelings of relaxation and clarity and calmness while alleviating dizziness, anxiety and irritability. It is also known to stimulate libido in both men and women. Clary sage oil is used for medicinal purposes. It eliminates or prevents the spread of harmful bacteria, facilitates the healing of wounds and addresses muscle aches, joint pain, strains and sprains.
