Nutmeg is mainly native to Malaysia. Nutmeg is a densely foliated evergreen tree growing to a height of 20 meters and above. Nutmeg fruit weights on an average of 60gm, the seed weight is 6 to 8 gm, mace weight 3 to 5gm rest part pericarp. The essential oil made by two parts of fruit like seed and mace. There is a big importance of Nutmeg tree in confectionery, culinary and pharmaceutical industries. The essential oil of Nutmeg tree used in flavouring food products and beverages as well as liquors and also in perfumery industries. Production of essential oil of Nutmeg is from the seed part of the plant by the process of Steam Distillation.

Uses:-
Nutmeg oil is widely used in many types of daily routine life. It is helpful in digestive complaints as well as muscular aches and pain. It work to reduce many health problems like- relieve in menstrual cramps, may have anticonvulsant, treats indigestion, improves blood circulation. It is also helpful in respiratory problems and improve cognition. May prevent heart problems, it may eliminate bad breath. Helps to treat liver disease. It also works in improving the health of kidney.
