About:-
It is sub-erect and dense perennial shrub growing upto a height of 1.5 to 2 metres. Juniperus is a temperate species, which is mostly found in western Himalayas from Srinagar to Kumaon. There are 60 to 70 species found in different places but most commonly used specie is Juniperus communis. Juniper essential oil is extracted by the process of Steam Distillation of plant berries. This essential oil is commonly used in flavouring for drinks, in cooking, preservative foods as well as alcoholic beverages.

Uses:-
In 17th century Romans, Greeks and Egyptians were used juniper berries as an herb for increase physical stamina. Now a day this tradition come in ancient culture we take juniper berries essential oil for stamina build up. Many types of medicines are made by this essential oil. In other way it is scientifically proven that juniper essential oil help in diuretic effect, reduce eczema and lower or control the blood pressure, also help in skin health. Anti-inflammatory properties reduces swelling and pain.
