Helichrysum italicum, commonly known as the curry plant, immortelle or Italian sunflower. This plant is highly popular worldwide not only for their adorable bushy appearance but also for their versatility, and can be grown easily. The shrubs look absolutely gorgeous outdoors in beds borders, rock gardens, city, cottage and coastal gardens. There are 600 type of different species of Helichrysum, but Italicum variety of the plant is best and use for the extraction of essential oil by the process of Steam Distillation. The oil have an intense fragrance that cannot be unnoticed, and play a important part in perfume industries. The aroma of this oil is prolong and retention on the skin.

Uses:-
Biological activity such as antioxidant, antifungal and antibacterial, activity contribute to the application of italicum essential oil in pharmaceutical as well as food industries, and agriculture. The oil of Italicum has 1,8-Cineole which has properties of antimicrobial for both fungi and bacteria. The oil have an anti-inflammatory properties. The oil could reduce symptoms related to an infection such as swelling, pain and redness of any part of body except sensory organs, reduces the inflammation or healing properties of burns and wound conditions. Helichrysum oil boosts the immune system and also fight against allergies, arthritis and eczema.
