Pelargonium graveolens is an erect, multi-branched shrub, that grows up to 1.5 metres and has spread of 1 meter. The leaves are deeply incised, velvety and soft to touch. The colour of flower vary from pale pink to almost white. Pelargonium graveolens is also known by Geranium terebinthinaceum and Pelargonium terebinthinaceum. They are mainly native to the hot, tropical area of countries, islands in the region of Africa. The scented flowers and fragrant leaves and stem of this plant yield a vastly beneficial ingredient upon Steam Distillation- geranium essential oil. Geranium essential oil rightfully holds a beautiful reputation as an essential oil that is specially well suited for women.
