Vanilla is a perennial climbing vine in many parts of India. The small yellow orchids bloom for only a few hours during the day. They are immediately handpicked by the workers for extraction of oil. Vanilla Absolute Oil is has a thick consistency and remains solid at room temperature. It is one of the most well-known scents. It has a rich, sweet, vanilla odor. The origin of vanilla is India and the largest producing countries are Mexico, Madagascar and USA. The vanilla absolute oil is concentrated and should be diluted before use. It is not the right scent for making candles.
USES:-
Mainly used in the fragrance industry as a fixative in perfumery is used in making deodorants, sprays and other cosmetics. Because of its intoxicating smell, it is a vital part in making perfumes. The smell of the oil works more on mental and emotional stage. It works wonders in relieving stress and depression. It enhances confidence and leads to joy and happiness. When used as a body massage oil it provides comfort and calmness to the nervous system and in turn promotes love and peace. As a cosmetic, it can also be used directly as a cleanser and moisturizer for rejuvenating the skin. It is widely used in gyms and beauty parlors.
BENEFICIAL PROPERTIES:-
Vanilla Absolute Oil works as an aphrodisiac to solve many sexual problems. It is said to have excellent antiseptic properties and so is also used to heal wounds cuts and burns. The homeopathy and ayurvedic doctors make an extensive use of this oil to cure sexually related diseases. It is helpful in relieving stretch marks after childbirth.
Vanilla oil is not recommended for the purpose of aromatherapy. Extreme care must be taken when working with this oil as it has a very strong reaction. It should be used after diluting it with other oils and creams.
BLENDS WELL WITH:-
Vanilla Absolute Oil blends well with bergamot, benzoin, jasmine, frankincense, mandarin, lemon, patchouli, orange, sandalwood, rose, ylang ylang, vetiver.
