ABOUT:-
Vetiver Absolute/ Ruhkhus (Green) Oil is produced from the roots of a grass that grows wild in parts Sri Lanka and other parts of Asia. The rootlets are cut and soaked in water before steam distillation. It has the smell of Earth and its action depends on its concentration and the oil in which it is mixed. The Indian poets relate this woody aroma to the first monsoon rains on the Earth. The oil is very thick but thins out when added to other oils or alcohol.
USES:-
Vetiver Absolute/ Ruhkhus (Green) Oil is popularly used as a fixative and a fragrance ingredient in making soaps, cosmetics and perfumes. It is also used as a moUth repellent. It is used in creams and lotion for the care of skin. As a cosmetic, it can also be used directly as a cleanser and moisturizer for rejuvenating the skin. It is widely used in gyms and beauty parlors.
It is used in India to perfume incense sticks that are used in performing pujas. Besides the oil the Vetiver root has been used for its fragrance to scent fabric, and woven into baskets, mats, and window coverings

As an antiseptic it helps in healing of boils, cuts and wounds. It is also known as the Oil of Tranquility as it has a soothing and calming effect on the nervous system and gives relief from depression , stress, anxiety and fatigue. It helps in giving relief from mouth ulcers, epilepsy, sake and scorpion bites fever and headache.
