About:-
Sugandh kokila is an essential oil extracted from the berries of evergreen plant Cinnamomum Cecidodaphne, part of the family Lauraceae, which is mainly native to Nepal. The tree is also known as Gondsoroi and Malligiri. The essential oil is yellow in colour and has warm camphorus like spicy aroma. Sugandh kokila essential oil can be attributed to its properties as an anti-arthiritic, analgesic, antiseptic, astringent, antibiotic, carminative, digestive, emmenagogue, relaxant and stomachic. The oil can be used as a fragrance in cosmetics, soaps, detergents, perfumes and also used in indigenous, medicine as a stimulant and demulcent. The berries from which the oil is extracted are approximately 15mm in size.
