Aniseed or Anise is a herbaceous annual plant growing up to a height of 3 feet (0.91m). Aniseed plants grow best in light, fertile, well drained soil. Aniseed essential oil is obtained from the seeds of the well known herb called Pimpinella anisum. The oil is distilled by the process of steam distillation. The oil is valued for its medicinal properties and culinary uses. This warm spicy aniseed essential oil is generally used for aromatherapy in order to case the discomfort of introverted and fearful people. The roots are associated with the liver and gall bladder, and the seeds are used to treat the kidneys and digestive system.

Uses:-
Aniseed oil can be useful in the treatment of muscular aches and pains, bronchitis, rheumatism, whooping cough, colic, flatulence, cramp, catarrh, indigestion and hangovers. It is also used in aromatherapy.
